Clubbell Yoga: Fusion of Strength and Mobility
Clubbell Yoga is a new fusion of strength training and yoga created to improve quality of movement. The practice evolved from an intelligent integration of circular strength training into yoga poses using the Clubbell. Clubbells are a unique tool in that the majority of weight is distributed above the handle, therefore when held upright, it requires more muscle activation in the shoulder girdle muscles, postural muscles, and core to keep it steady. It is different than holding a small dumbbell, where the skeletal structure will take most of the weight. If you add a Clubbell to your vinyasa yoga practice, you will elicit a training response. By adding this small amount of resistance to your arm, you will become stronger more quickly.
Clubbell Yoga is grounded in precision, anatomical alignment and breath. Expect to improve shoulder stability, core strength, single leg balances and vinyasa yoga transitions. All Clubbell Yoga poses have modifications so that any BODY can find freedom in the practice.
